On July 29, 2012, in Wasilla, Alaska, the U.S. Army Transportation Corp. tender donated by the Museum of Alaska Transportation Inc. was loaded and headed toward restoration. The tender and Locomotive will come together shortly at a warehouse location in Wasilla, where Engine 557 Restoration Company will begin the process of rebuilding them to operational standards.
